  • I finished the second draft and I’m working on the third

    This is what it looks like. I love seeing the amount of pages, it’s a physical manifestation of my hard work. I think now about all the words that go into each draft…the R words…revise, re-visit, re-imagine, refine. More to come.

    I have not blogged in a long time. That changes now. I wrote a book, a novel. While every writer wants to be published, I’m no exception. But I am enjoying this moment of completion. I am halfway through the second draft.

  • I’m writing a novel

    I’m writing a novel, and almost finished with the first draft! What has worked for me is working on scenes. Thus, I am not necessarily writing it sequentially. Instead I’m working on important scenes, and then deciding where they fit in the narrative.
